Sunset's Mighty Storm was a uniquely bred horse. If you study the pedigree below, you will see that he was an intensely linebred stallion bred for the ability to gait. Years ago the old horsemen said if you wanted to set certain traits, you should line breed for 7 generations top and bottom alike. The resulting stallions would be your best producing sires. Mighty was just such a horse. This stallion's pedigree is packed with gaited horse blood.

"Mighty At Play (Above)"
Mighty was a powerfully built stallion with an wonderful shoulder on him. When he would come out of the stall and swell up to prance down aisle he displayed a regal presence that would make one wonder if he actually knew how his pedigree read. He had a confident sense of himself. At the same time, he was a kind horse and easy to work with.
Mighty was lightly bred and his oldest colts are now 3. We beleived this was a stallion who could put gameness and the ability to rack smooth and fast, with no hint of pace, back into some of our modern Saddlebred breeding programs.
